Katherine's practice centers around the needs of pregnant and new mothers. As a mom of identical twin boys, Katherine knows and understands a mother's special needs. She plans on continuing her education by attending workshops in Arvigo Maya Abdominal Massage and completing Doula training by the Summer of 2008.

Wendy Powell, BS, LMT
Thai Massage, Kinesio Taping, Deep Tissue, Reiki

Wendy is a graduate of Chapman University of Orange, CA with a major in Business Management. She also graduated from the Swedish Massage Therapy program at THAI. Wendy obtained certifications in Traditional Thai and advanced Thai Therapeutic massage, and traditional Thai foot massage from the world-famous Wat Pho temple in Bangkok, Thailand.

Paula Acosta, BA, LMTI
Deep Tissue, Pain Relief, Swedish Massage

Paula is a graduate of the Swedish and Clinical Massage Therapy programs at THAI. After working for several years in California as a massage therapist, she returned to Austin and THAI. Paula brings to THAI her extensive experience in providing spa treatments as well as her background in pain resolution and clinical body work. She is currently attending nursing school at UT.

Pam Crawford, LC, LCI, LMTI
Esthetics, Waxing

Pam has worked in all aspects of the cosmetology industry for the past 21 years including serving as the education director and licensed instructor for seven cosmetology schools in Texas and New Mexico. She currently offers skin and bodycare services to her clients, as well as holistic health counseling. Pam also provides private instruction to licensed estheticians.

Lee Adkins, BA, LMTI
Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Spa Treatments

Lee has been involved in all aspects of physical fitness training and massage therapy education for ten years. His background includes fitness assessment program design, massage program curriculum development and administration, and massage therapy instruction. He is also experienced in providing continuing education to massage professionals.

Elisa Gonzalez, LMT
Deep Tissue, Swedish Massage

Elisa graduated from THAI’s 500-hour massage training program in April 2010. She is the first in her class to secure employment! While in school she gravitated towards sports and rehabilitative bodywork. She plans on enrolling in THAI”s 2010 Fall Clinical Massage Therapy course to further her studies in postural bodywork. Elisa moved to Austin from a small town in south Texas to attend massage school, and in her free time she enjoys taking in all of Austin’s sites and sounds. At The Spa at THAI, Elisa is known for her relaxation and deep tissue massages!

John Shafer, MSEE, LMT
Deep Tissue, Swedish Massage

John holds a MSEE from Texas A&M University and is a graduate from THAI's 500-hour program. At The Spa at THAI, John provides relaxation and deep tissue massages!
