After the first 250 hours of massage school instruction are completed, students take the next step to becoming massage therapists. They begin internship. Internship is a time of growth and transition for students from the classroom to their own health care practices.
During internship, the school is opened to the general public for massage therapy appointments, and students practice the massage skills and techniques they have learned in the classroom. Interns learn to call clients, schedule appointments, and perform intake and exit interviews with clients. All internship massages are performed on school premises under the supervision of a registered massage therapy instructor. Like our classrooms, our internship room is equipped with curtains for privacy while getting on to the massage table.
