After the first 250 hours of massage school instruction are completed, students take the next step to becoming massage therapists, by beginning internship. Internship is a time of growth and transition in which students start moving from the classroom to their own health care practices.
During internship, the school is opened to the public for massage therapy appointments, and students practice the massage skills and techniques they have learned in the classroom. Interns learn to contact clients, schedule appointments, and perform intake and exit interviews with clients. All internship massages are performed on school premises under the supervision of a registered massage therapy instructor. Our internship room is equipped with curtains for client privacy while getting on and off the massage table.
