Infraspinatus

Medially to the infraspinous fossa of the scapula
Laterally to the greater tubercle of the humerus
Function:
Stabilizes the head of the humerus in the glenoid cavity
Lateral rotation at glenohumeral joint

TrPs in illustration A:
Pain concentrates in the anterior deltoid region and shoulder joint. It moves down the front and lateral aspects of the arm and forearm and sometimes includes radial half of hand
Sometimes pain is referred to suboccipital and posterior cervical areas.

TrP Near vertebral border in musclotendinous junction refers pain to adjacent rhomboid area
