This 3-day class instructs participants in how to perform The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy™ on him/herself. This class is a prerequisite to enrollment in the professional training for licensed healthcare practitioners. Self-Care Level 1 training covers the anatomy and physiology of the abdominal and reproductive organs, addresses causes and symptoms of malpositioned organs and demonstrates self-care techniques. Self-Care Level 1 training also addresses herbal, nutritional, spiritual and emotional support for the abdominal massage techniques to insure comprehensive understanding of the technique and how it contributes to wellness. Self-Care Level 1 training workshops are conducted by a certified Self-Care Level 1 instructor. Anyone may register for this class. No prior training or licensing is required.

This continuing education course is approved by NCBTMB for 17.5 CE hours of massage therapy, by NCAAOM for 16 acupuncture PDA points, and by MEAC for 17 CE hours for midwives.

Tuition includes light snacks and tea. Early Bird Price of $328 if registered by January 24, 2012.

Tuition

Tuition for all continuing education classes varies and is noted in each course description. This tuition amount includes a non-refundable registration deposit. Please see each course for deposit amount.


If you take any community education course for CE credit, you agree to register under the registration and refund policy of THAI's continuing education program.

Refund Policy

A participant who withdraws from a course may be eligible for a refund as follows:

  • 48 hours prior to the first day of class all fees paid will be refunded except the registration deposit of $50.00.


  • If a participant withdraws from a course, she or he must re-enroll and pay the full current course fee in order to attend the same course offered at a later date.

Texts and Supplies

There may be a textbook, class packet, or supplies required for this course. The cost of the text, packet, or supplies may vary. Please call ahead for details pertaining to texts and supplies. Supplies are the responsibility of the student and are not included in the course fees.

Cancellation Policy

All courses are offered contingent upon a minimum number of students enrolling, to be determined by the course instructor. THAI reserves the right to cancel courses due to low enrollment, when necessary. If the course is cancelled, students may receive a full refund, including the registration deposit, or, they may transfer to another course on a space-available basis.
