Texas Healing Arts Institute School of Massage is located in the heart of Austin. We provide professional massage therapy training with a knowledgeable, compassionate, personalized touch. Our exceptional faculty is dedicated to providing pragmatic and energetic instruction to individuals pursuing an education in the healing arts of massage and bodywork. Small classes afford us the opportunity to make a commitment to a superior education for each student by allowing us to give individualized attention to each student's needs. The faculty and staff at THAI School of Massage are committed to the success of our students and to providing the utmost support for their quality education in therapeutic massage therapy.

Our Texas State Licensing Massage School Program

The Massage Therapy Program is divided into the following sections with the number of required class hours:

• Swedish Massage (125 hrs) & Deep, Clinical, and Sports Massage Techniques (75 hours)
• Anatomy (50 hours)
• Physiology (25 hours)
• Kinesiology (50 hours)
• Pathology (40 hours)
• Hydrotherapy & Spa (20 hours)
• Human Health and Hygiene (20 hours)
• Business Practices and Professional Ethics (45 hours)
• Internship (50 hours)

Costs and Financing

Tuition for the 500-hour program is $4200.00. This amount does not include student liability insurance ($65.00). A $100 non-refundable processing fee must accompany your application.

Textbooks

All textbooks are available at the school store. Prices for textbooks vary depending upon where the student chooses to purchase them.

• THAI's teachers are practicing body workers. Specialties include: Clinical Massage Therapy, Thai Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Acupuncture, Feldenkreis, Aesthetics, and Personal Training.

• Our hydrotherapy classes are not just theory classes. They include hands-on professional training in hydrocollator hot packs, hot stone massage, sauna, cold therapy, and spa treatments.
• Our business classes prepare you for today's marketplace. You will job search, network and create a working website during your business studies.
• All of our classes (hands-on classes as well as lecture classes) are small so that students are able to receive plenty of personalized attention and feedback from their instructors. Generally we close enrollment for a class around 16 students. For classes with a high demand, we maintain our teacher to student ratio is maintained at 1:20 (one instructor to twenty students) in order to provide our students with attentive guidance and instruction.
• THAI is owned and operated by two Ph.D. educators with over 45 years of combined teaching experience.
• Our Admissions Director is not pushy and truly counsels you to help you make the best decisions for your education.
